WILLEMSTAD - Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are all seeing the number of corona infections increase. According to the Curaçao epidemiologist Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth, there have been many infections of the British variant on all three islands for some time.
A record number of 129 infections was registered on Bonaire on Tuesday. In Curaçao, the number of infected people has risen to 126. In Aruba, fifty new corona infections were detected on Tuesday, six of which were among non-residents. The number of active infections has now risen to 207.
Regarding the number of corona patients who have died since March 2020, it is striking that 77 corona patients have died in Aruba, 22 people on Curaçao and five on Bonaire.
