WILLEMSTAD - The traceless businessman Steven Blanca has a first conviction. He must pay collection agency ACCS about 33 thousand guilders, plus interest, collection, and legal costs.
In recent months, Blanca has been in the news several times negatively. For instance, he did not pay his staff at Hector Suites, the hotel behind the WTC. He is also said to have sold unpaid cars and provided small loans at usurious rates with his credit company BigNet. Several of his businesses, including restaurant Namora, closed, presumably due to money problems. Blanca is still registered in Curaçao, but probably fled to Colombia a few months ago.
