WILLEMSTAD - Human rights organization Amnesty has painted a wrong picture of the problem of Venezuelans in Curaçao. This is what Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas says to questions from the Members of Parliament.
He is particularly critical of the context of the report. The report titled "Still Not Safe" states that the treatment of undocumented Venezuelans is poor. This is not correct according to the Prime Minister. Migrants who can contribute to the development of Curaçao are welcomed with open arms. The human rights organization will soon arrive in Curaçao to talk to the government about the Venezuelan refugee problem.
