Camelia-Römer asked to stay one more week as minister

WILLEMSTAD - On Monday, July 20, Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath made an urgent appeal to Minister Suzanne Camelia-Römer not to resign and stay one more week.

The Prime Minister’s petition is based on the fact that Curaçao is currently confronted with an unprecedented crisis in the public health sector, while other important activities in the Ministry of Health, Environment and Nature that must take place (e.g. the four-country consultation which is planned for this week). In addition, the ministry is preparing for the visit of the Minister of Public Health of St. Maarten who will be in Curaçao soon.

This way, Minister Camelia-Römer has the chance to prepare to transfer her pending work to an interim minister.
