WILLEMSTAD - The management of Capital Ç has taken note of recent social media posts concerning the Aura Festival held at the venue on December 6, 2026. We regret the negative experiences reported by festival attendees, particularly regarding traffic-related issues.
As an event venue, Capital Ç works closely with local authorities and event organizers to ensure that all activities comply with applicable requirements, including those related to traffic management. For more than a year, Capital Ç has served as a reliable alternative venue for both indoor and outdoor events, successfully hosting numerous occasions. We take pride in this role and remain fully committed to continuing to provide high-quality event facilities.
We are actively addressing the concerns raised by residents in the surrounding neighborhood. However, we would like to clarify that when Capital Ç is rented for an event, the event organizer is required to obtain all necessary permits. Responsibility for security, traffic management, noise control, and overall event liability lies with the organizer.
Capital Ç has developed more than 3,500 parking spaces to accommodate visitors and guests. Traffic management for each event is solely the responsibility of the event organizer, in line with local regulations. As part of the permitting process, authorities require organizers to submit a traffic management plan. Once the required permits have been granted, Capital Ç is not responsible for the operational aspects of the event, including traffic coordination.
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the overall experience for guests and the surrounding community, Capital Ç will further strengthen its collaboration with local authorities to enhance coordination and planning for future events.
