Captain of 107-year-old Norwegian three-master visiting the Governor

WILLEMSTAD - On Friday, November 5, Capitain Marcus Seidl, commander of the research vessel "Statsrad Lehmkuhl" paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout. Several crew members were also present on this visit.

The ship collects high-quality data on ocean physics, chemistry and biology.

 

The 107-year-old, 98-metre vessel Statsrad Lehmkuhl embarked on a long 55,000 nautical mile voyage from Norway in August 2021 to make a journey from Norway to 36 ports worldwide. The ship is equipped with modern equipment for the continuous collection of high-quality data on ocean physics, chemistry, and biology.
