WILLEMSTAD - Carmabi and Coca-Cola have started a partnership in the field of water education. Thousands of students in secondary education are offered the program 'From wastewater to drinking water'.
In the new school year, the students will receive education about local ecology. During the lesson, local and global environmental problems are discussed, and they learn to formulate a problem as a group and conduct an experiment. “The process ensures that the students gain insight into their own environment and become aware of the ecological footprint that you make as an individual and as a society,” says Carmabi.

“At Coca-Cola we are very aware of our water use,” says Myrthe George-Verhulst, Marketing and Sustainability Manager. “The presence of water is so self-evident that we don't often realize that water is very special and necessary for life as we know it. That is why this curriculum is so important and Coca-Cola is eager to support this project.”
The program focuses on the pre-examination classes of VBO, HAVO and VWO.
