WILLEMSTAD - Coronavirus or not, the Carnival 2021 organizations assume that the biggest event on the island will continue in February. This must be done without a large part of the government subsidy.
The organization must consider a cut of about 30 to 50 percent on the budget.
The organization now hopes that businesses will join and help with financial contributions. But the lessors of music installations and truck trailers should also reduce their tariffs by 15 to 20 percent, so that the carnival can continue.
The "gran marcha" or big parade is on February 14.
