WILLEMSTAD - In November, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) began conducting the Business Confidence Survey with selected companies. The goal of this survey is to collect updated information on business developments and economic trends across various industries and sectors. Additionally, it seeks to gather business owners’ opinions on economic confidence and the investment climate.
The survey results, including opinion-based responses, will be treated as estimates rather than final figures.
The Business Confidence Survey targets companies with ten or more employees, while a sample will be taken from companies with three to nine employees, totaling approximately 800 companies in the survey. CBS emphasizes that the success of the survey depends on company participation and thanks all businesses approached for their time and effort. Survey results from previous years are available on the CBS website.
One key outcome of the Business Confidence Survey is the confidence index. The index, which is based on future outlook, perception, investment climate, and changes in sales volume, reached 114 in December 2023, a rise from 101 in 2022.
