CDA wants an in-depth investigation into the debt problems of former students

Local | By Correspondent September 19, 2019

WILLEMSTAD, THE HAGUE - The Dutch political party CDA wants an in-depth investigation into the debt problem among former students on the islands.

Recently the issue was raised again by 100 Curaçao students who were supported by the Minister of Education Marilyn Alcala-Walle.

The communication with the Education Executive Agency is extremely difficult, as a result of which students are wrongly confronted with payment arrears and debt collectors.

The minister argued for an in-depth investigation and received support from the political party GroenLinks last week. CDA also seems to support her now.
