WILLEMSTAD - Cedric Pietersz is set to become the new director at the Gaming Control Board, as indicated by a recommendation from the supervisory board, SBTNO. Pietersz has built a career at the central bank in various leadership positions. He will now take on a role at the gaming authority.
The vacancy had already been open since November of last year, but the recruitment and selection process at that time did not yield a suitable candidate. Subsequently, changes occurred in the Board of Commissioners, causing the recruitment project to come to a halt. The new Board was tasked with filling the director vacancy as quickly as possible, also due to the transition of the Gaming Control Board to the Curaçao Gaming Authority.
The gaming authority ensures that gaming providers conduct themselves in accordance with laws and regulations, allowing consumers to safely participate in fair games of chance.
