WILLEMSTAD - The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) has embarked on a reorganization/reassessment process since 2018 to promote the efficiency of the organization. In consultation with the employees, existing departments were maintained or clustered and divided into the new core task divisions and support divisions and departments. This has made the organizational structure more horizontal, which stimulates mutual cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and information. This structure also reduces the number of administrative layers and increases the number of employees for executive tasks.
In the context of the review process, a new staffing plan has been drawn up based on the changed tasks per department. Within this plan, the personnel has been placed or relocated. A small group of employees has become redundant. A social protocol has been drawn up for the latter group. The new organizational structure will officially come into effect on 1 January 2021.
