Charles Cooper defends the Minister Plenipotentiary in The Hague

Local | By Correspondent July 26, 2022

THE HAGUE - Minister Charles Cooper acknowledges that the Curaçao House has installed cameras in every room and hall. According to the Minister of Traffic, the camera surveillance is necessary to guarantee the safety of employees.

With his statement, the minister tries to defend his MFK party colleague Carlson Manuel, the minister plenipotentiary for Curaçao in The Hague.

He would have installed the cameras to keep an eye on the employees of the Curaçao House. There was a fuss about the cameras earlier, after two members of parliament from coalition partner PNP argued that the privacy of employees is being violated.

The minister plenipotentiary also denies that there is any monitoring of employees. The Curaçao house would be regularly threatened.
