The judge ruled that Van der Dijs is guilty of money laundering and possession of jammers, which cause disruptions in the telecommunications network. She recently appealed to avoid serving her prison sentence, but the request was denied.
Van der Dijs reported to the prison on Monday morning. She said goodbye to her family and friends. "It is a regrettable day," Van der Dijs told the press present. “A mother, an employer of over 220 employees, but most importantly, an innocent person is going to jail.”
