WILLEMSTAD - The civil servants' union ABVO has send a "clear signal" to Undersecretary of Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops this morning during their protest at Waaigat.
They disagree with the introduction of the Caribbean Reform Entity which, according to them, will take away from Curaçao’s autonomy. That was the main reason why the gathered this morning in the city center. They also still disagree with the proposal to cut 12.5 percent of their salary.
The introduction of the Caribbean Reform Entity is a requirement for the Netherlands to pledge further financial support.
