WILLEMSTAD - Cliniclowns gave the employees and management of BDO a festive surprise. The Accountants & Adviesbureau has been a Corporate Partner of CliniClowns Curacao for ten years.
The clowns took the employees outside from behind their desks where they toasted together to the anniversary and a memento was handed over to the management. Each employee also received individual attention.
Finally, “The CliniClowns Improvisation Choir” delighted everyone with a song of thanksgiving, improvised especially for BDO.
“The special thing is that the partnership is widely supported by the company; ten years ago, it was a joint decision of employees and management to support Cliniclowns in word and deed.”
“Every year, the employees help at the wheelchair disco at SGR, they check our annual accounts, and we are financially supported by the company, so that we can offer the people who are having a hard time with the help of the clowns a moment of distraction and fun,” say the Cliniclowns.
“The continuity of BDO's support is a great asset; internally, that also gives the foundation the peace of mind to focus on the work.”
The CliniClowns Curaçao Foundation provides distraction and fun for sick children and children with a physical or mental disability, and for people with dementia. Through improvisation, play and music, the clowns focus on the person behind the illness or disability and create moments of happiness that make someone feel emotionally stronger again.
The clowns are trained professionals and visits to the institutions are free. This is only possible through community donations.
