WILLEMSTAD - Last Saturday, the Coast Guard cutter Jaguar intercepted an offshore cargo vessel, MS Robin, in the territorial waters of Curaçao. The ship has been monitored by the Coast Guard for quite some time on suspicion of transporting contraband.
MS Robin, which sails under the Guyanese flag, was on its way to Guyana. It was guided by the Coast Guard to the St. Anna Bay in Curaçao for an investigation by a team of Coast Guard and Customs.
No contraband was found onboard during the search. MS Robin has been released by authorities and is continuing its route as soon as possible.
