WILLEMSTAD - There was a commotion in the PNP party last weekend about the nomination of Ramon Chong as a possible new minister of Economic Development. Former employees of CBA Television had already criticized this, but the party leadership said that it was 100% behind the intended new minister.
Last Saturday, however, PNP MP Sheldry Osepa wrote on his Facebook page that he "will not remain silent" about the situation around Chong. Shortly after, Osepa took that message off of Facebook again. But many people had already seen it. Within the party, there were many meetings about the situation on Saturday evening and Sunday. But none of the party members wanted to say anything about it to the press until there is more clarity about the situation.
