WILLEMSTAD - Independent Member of Parliament Corrine Djaoen-Genaro has called on Minister Charles Cooper to address the severe traffic congestion in Punda, particularly during peak hours. According to Djaoen-Genaro, the situation has worsened due to ongoing construction projects in the area, raising concerns about persistent traffic issues even after the work is completed.

In a formal letter to the Minister of Traffic, Transport, and Urban Planning, Djaoen-Genaro inquired whether there is a specific plan to tackle the growing traffic problem in Punda. She expressed her worries about the impact of the current situation on local residents and businesses and requested that the minister keep her updated on any proposed solutions.

The increasing traffic congestion has become a significant issue for the community, prompting calls for urgent action from the government to ensure smoother transportation and accessibility in the area. Djaoen-Genaro emphasized the need for proactive measures to alleviate the challenges posed by the construction and ongoing traffic demands.
