WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Economic Development is organizing the first "Diaspora for business summit" from November 30 to December 2. This conference for local investors takes place entirely online. Minister of Economic Development Steven Martina announced this yesterday during a press conference at Fort Amsterdam.
The rationale of the conference is that there are many Curaçaoans who hold top positions abroad. Curaçao could use their help in these difficult times, said Minister Martina.
The conference is primarily intended to establish contact with people from Curaçao who live in other countries. In addition, the Ministry of Economic Development wants to exchange innovative ideas. Involvement with the diaspora must ultimately lead to Curaçaoans returning with good plans to contribute to their home country.
