WILLEMSTAD - The business survey conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) for the first half of 2021 shows that the business community is once again somewhat more confident in the future.
The CBS indicates that half of the companies have regained confidence. Confidence has increased from 41 percent in December 2020 to 50 percent in the first half of 2021. In December 2020, 79 percent of companies indicated that they had less income, compared to 58 percent in the first half of this year.
The CBS will now start with the second business survey for the year 2021. The survey will be conducted among companies that have ten or more employees. A poll will take place at smaller institutions. A total of nine hundred companies were surveyed.
