WILLEMSTAD - Airline EZ Air has been delayed for a long time regarding a dispute about tickets that have not been refunded yet to multiple travelers. The consumer association Unkobon wonders why this has to take so long.
The conflict is about refunding airline tickets to travelers for flights canceled by the airline itself due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "In that case, the customer is entitled to get his money back," Unkobon said.
According to the consumer association, EZ Air refuses to refund the tickets, even if it concerns so-called 'refundable tickets'. EZ Air does offer a voucher for another flight on a different date.
Unkobon had already tried to get in touch with the airline before. Through a lawyer, EZ Air demanded to stop the negative publicity against them, whereupon Unkobon again suggested that they enter into discussions and resolve the dispute.
The consumer association has announced that it has been waiting for a response from EZ Air for a month now.
