WILLEMSTAD - In the most recent survey conducted by Fundashon pa Konsumidó on the variety and availability of meat, fruits, and vegetables in local supermarkets, three supermarkets have emerged as the best. Centrum Mahaai leads with a selection of 83 different products, followed by Bon Bini with 79 products, and Centrum Piscadera with 77 products.
It is important to note that the comparison did not take into account the quality of the products or their country of origin.
The findings are part of a broader study that compared 93 products in seventeen different stores from January 17 to 22, 2024.
The research included various establishments such as Arco Iris, Van den Tweel, Arti’s, Best Buy, Boulevard Market Place, Carre Foure, Timmy, Esperamos Supermarket, Mangusa Rio Canario and Hypermarket, Vreugdenhil, Ruyterkade, Luna Park, and Tropicana.
The emphasis in this study was on the availability of products in the categories of meat, chicken, fish, fruits, and vegetables.
