WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament for the MFK party Charles Cooper indicated recently that the Refineria di Kòrsou, Curaçao Refinery (RdK) is boycotting negotiations with the local company Curaçao Oil Refinery Complex (CORC).
As is known, the refinery and the CORC consortium recently signed a memorandum of understanding. But after that, CORC was suddenly confronted with twelve new requirements, according to Cooper. According to the MP, it is better to continue negotiations with the new government. Cooper is an important candidate to become Minister of Traffic, Transport, and Spatial Planning on behalf of MFK. He favors a local partner for the refinery.
