WILLEMSTAD - The situation at the Antillean Television Company, of which TeleCuraçao falls under, is 'very worrying. ThIS is according to the Minister of Transport, Transport and Spatial Planning Charles Cooper.
According to Cooper, there are many issues at the company that are unacceptable. An investigation is currently underway into the company, which includes scrutiny of the channel's credit card spending. The minister says there is a "wild west in terms of contracts," where sometimes you don't have to pay for airtime.
Cooper has appointed Terry Hernandez to Curaçao Data & Television for a period of one year to conduct the investigation. Hernandez must ensure that TeleCuraçao becomes a profitable channel again.
