AMSTERDAM - Corendon travel agency immediately stops offering a rapid test for anti-corona viruses.
There has been too much discussion about the test in recent days, and that "ongoing discussion on this topic does nothing to resolve the corona crisis, but rather detracts from it," the company reported to the ANP on Thursday.
Dutch Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport Hugo Mattheüs de Jonge called the idea of offering all-inclusive vacations with a corona test in advance unwise because these tests offer “false safety”. Corendon CEO Steven van der Heijden called those statements "very annoying".
“It was abundantly clear that De Jonge confused two things. We would never let people go on holiday based on such a quick test,” said Van der Heijden.
