WILLEMSTAD - The corona crisis budget and overtime hours for police officers will cost the treasury an estimated three million guilders over the next six months.
This is according to the Minister of Justice Girigorie. The Minister says that this has not been budgeted for. He thinks the money should come from a non-existent emergency fund.
How it is financed then is not clear. The emergency allowance was once agreed with the unions and cannot simply be put aside, Girigorie said.
