WILLEMSTAD - The number of corona infections on Curaçao rose slightly last week. Three people were also hospitalized. This is evident from the corona figures that the government publishes weekly.
There are currently eight corona patients in the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC), one of which is in intensive care. One person died from the effects of the virus. Since the start of the corona pandemic, there have been 271 corona deaths.
A total of 3,694 tests were administered. 501 people tested positive last week. Two infections were later found to be incorrect, this has been adjusted in the figures. 495 people were allowed out of isolation again, bringing the total number of infections to 581. On April 8, the number of active cases stood at 577.
