Corps Consulaire and Uniting For Children Bring Circus Experience to Vulnerable Youth

Local | By Press release December 16, 2025

WILLEMSTAD – The Corps Consulaire Curaçao, led by Dean Ralph Obersi, together with the Uniting For Children Foundation (UFC) chaired by Jullie Tidey, hosted a special outreach evening on Tuesday night at Circo Hermanos Suarez, offering dozens of vulnerable children a memorable experience.

A total of 65 children and their caregivers from the St. Jozef and Encilia homes were invited to attend a full circus performance. The evening included food and drinks, allowing the children to fully enjoy the spectacle in a festive and welcoming environment. According to the organizers, the children had an exceptional time and were visibly enthusiastic throughout the show.

The initiative will continue this Wednesday, when 180 students from various local schools are scheduled to visit the circus. The broader goal of the project is to give approximately 400 schoolchildren, who would otherwise not have the opportunity, the chance to experience a live circus performance.

The organizers expressed their sincere appreciation to the management of Circo Hermanos Suarez for their essential cooperation in making the project possible. Special thanks were also extended to Maduro & Sons for their support in helping bring the initiative to life.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to community engagement and to creating joyful, enriching moments for children across Curaçao.
