WILLEMSTAD - Since 2013, the various governments have systematically failed to inform Parliament about budget changes for the construction of the new hospital. This is according to the Court of Audit in a letter to Parliament.
The Court investigated this on behalf of parliament. As a result, they could not comment on budget overruns. Expenditure that was already known to be made was thus hidden from the view of parliament.
It concerns an amount of 142 million guilders. And another 30 million was spent without budget coverage.
