Court postpones ruling 75 million to later date

Local | By Correspondent May 29, 2019

WILLEMSTAD - Again, the Court did not rule in the SMOC case of 75 million. That is already the second time.

The environment organization SMOC and 25 residents of the Isla want payment of the penalty of 75 million guilders after an appeal decision in 2010. The court then decided that the refinery should not emit more sulfur dioxide than the permitted standard until 2014.

The ruling on the payment of the penalty of 75 million has now been scheduled to take place in one month.
