Court sets June 30 hearing date for rapper Boechi murder case

WILLEMSTAD - The court in Willemstad has scheduled a preliminary hearing on June 30 for the murder case of rapper Boechi, also known as Hummer. During this hearing, the date for the full trial will be determined. Currently, two suspects have been taken into custody in relation to the case. 

 

On April 7, the main suspect in the murder case, Churendi C., was arrested in the Netherlands. On April 26, a second arrest was made in Curaçao. The suspect, Chris Z., from Seru Fortuna and born in 1999, is also linked to the case and is reported to have a connection with the rapper. He was apprehended at a residence on Mexicoweg. 

 

The Murder 

 

Ruchendell 'Boechi' Windster was fatally shot on Rooseveltweg on December 9 of last year. Hailing from Tilburg, he was known for his music in Papiamentu and was visiting Curaçao for performances. The murder occurred following a show in Santa Maria. 

 

The 24-year-old Z. is believed to have fired the fatal shots. According to the police, the second suspect, Churendy C., was the driver of the vehicle in which Chris Z. fled the scene.
