WILLEMSTAD - Lottery holder Robertico Dos Santos and Robbie’s Lottery have not appealed against the court’s ruling of March 19, in which they lost their legal case against MCB Bank terminating the banking relationship.
In the meantime, negotiations are taking place about the possibility that Dos Santos and his gambling companies would have more time to find a solution; that is, to open bank accounts with other banks.
The MCB had already extended all lottery offices, including Robbie's, for three months in connection with the previously announced termination of the banking relationship. Instead of March 31, they have until the end of June to find an alternative for holding bank accounts. That was confirmed by the MCB management, the day after the verdict last month.
