WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) carries out regular maintenance on the quays in Sint Anna Bay. The work has been visible again in recent days; CPA was in the process of replacing "fend wood" that was no longer good.
In a short response to the media, CPA spokeswoman Sau Bridgewater said the fender was being replaced with recycled plastic and that the work will take a few more months.
The fender is needed to protect the quay from damage during the mooring of a boat.
