WILLEMSTAD - The Coral Restoration Foundation (CRF) is the largest non-profit organization that deals with the conservation of coral.
The organization has already planted more than 74,000 endangered staghorn and elkhorn corals in the world and has committed to repairing reefs in Curaçao.
CRF has installed coral gardens ("nurseries") in various places on Curaçao. Plastic frames are placed on the bottom and anchored. Cuttings are attached to it, so that the coral can grow further over it and expand.
