WILLEMSTAD - At the naval base in Parera, a batch of cocaine was seized during a criminal search on Friday 28 June.
The cocaine was in a container that was ready to be transported to the Netherlands. There were personal equipment goods in the container.
The search was conducted by the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee under the leadership of the public prosecution. The search took place on the site of Defense. The Ministry of Defense has already provided the necessary cooperation in the criminal search.
Further criminal investigation into the seized drugs will take place. In the interest of that investigation, no further announcements can be made at this time.
