WILLEMSTAD - Last Saturday, five Curaçaoans received a Cross of Merit (Krus di Mérito) on Dia di Bandera (Day of the Flag).
The crosses went to herbal and plant expert Dinah Veeris, media expert and LGBT activist Mario Kleinmoedig, (music) teacher Violeta Ravenstein-Lourens, former SER and KORPODEKO board member Pablo Alvides Cova and the doctor who brought the first CT scan to Curaçao: Roberto E.Rico.
The award ceremony took place last Saturday at Brionplein in Otrobanda.
