CURA DOET 2021 postponed

Local | By Press release January 18, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Every year, in the month of March, Curaçao Cares organizes, together with the Oranje Fonds CURA DOET, the largest volunteer action in Curaçao. CURA DOET is part of the largest campaign in the Kingdom, together with BONDOET, ARUBA DOET, STATIA DOET, SXM DOET and NL DOET. This year, given the current corona infection figures in the Kingdom, a joint decision has been taken to postpone the campaign to May 28 and 29, 2021.

The primary goal of CURA DOET is to bring volunteers and representatives of social organizations together and to make good memories with each other simply by "doing good". Preparations for CURA DOET 2021 were already in full swing with, this year, the emphasis on the safety of both volunteers and social organizations.

“We have established various precautions so that CURA DOET is safe and can continue, says project leader Vicky Trinidad. Among other things, 'social distancing' has been taken into account, the necessary materials such as face masks have been provided for each volunteer, we have encouraged families to choose a job as a family from the same household and work together, we have all social organizations recommended the designation of one person who ensures that the volunteers work safely during the DOET days and lastly we encouraged the social organizations to come up with projects that can be carried out outdoors.”

Volunteers can register from now on and can choose a nice project on the website www.curadoet.org.

It is extremely important, now more than ever, to support the community, lend a helping hand and most of all show that we are there, For each other and with each other!
