WILLEMSTAD - The ninth edition of Cura Doet has been postponed due to the current situation regarding Covid-19. Every year Curacao Cares organizes the volunteer action on Curacao in March in collaboration with the Oranje Fonds.
Cura Doet is part of the largest volunteer campaign in the Kingdom, in which Bonaire, Aruba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten and the Netherlands also participate. Given the current contamination figures in the Kingdom, the organization sees no other way out than to move the activities to May 20 and 21.
Cura Doet was also moved in 2021 due to the increasing number of corona infections. “Covid-19 is here and we will have to learn to live with it,” says project leader Vicky Trinidad. “We are doing our utmost and have established several precautions to ensure that Cura Doet can proceed responsibly and safely.”
Cura Doet 2022 will take place on 20 and 21 May.
