Curaçao accepts only PCR-test

Local | By Correspondent July 22, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao does not accept a gargle test as a method to check if a traveler has coronavirus. Travelers must undergo the usual PCR test before traveling to Curaçao. The Public Health Department says that the gargle test is not reliable enough.

Initially, dozens of KLM travelers were not allowed to leave the airport yesterday. They have since been allowed in. KLM will now inform its travelers about the change of policy regarding the test.

As of next Saturday, July 25, they will only take on board passengers who have completed the mandatory PCR test.
