WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare and the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) have announced the payment dates and key adjustments for several social benefit schemes, including AOV, for January 2026. The information is intended to help residents better plan their personal finances in the coming weeks.
According to the Ministry of Social Development, Labor and Welfare and the Social Insurance Bank (SVB), the appreciation bonus for recipients of social assistance will be paid on Friday, January 16, 2026. On the same date, widows, widowers and orphans residing in Curaçao will also receive their appreciation bonus.
The payment of the difference resulting from the increase in the AOV pension will take place on January 15, 2026. At the start of January, beneficiaries already received the previous AOV amount, with the adjustment to be settled mid-month. In addition, pensioners will receive the lump-sum payment on January 15, 2026.
The ministry further clarified that individuals who previously received XCG 862 plus a supplement of XCG 169 will continue to receive the XCG 169 supplement on top of the new AOV amount of XCG 1,000.
