AMSTERDAM - Curaçao artists in the Netherlands auction their work to raise money for families on the island.
Food packages are bought with the proceeds from the auction. "Art Auction 4 Curaçao", as the event is called, includes work by visual artist Ruben La Cruz, photographer Angelo Lindeborg and artist Shahaila Winklaar.
City poet and writer Gershwin Bonevacia reads from his own work during the auction. The art auction is next Saturday, August 29 in LOADS.amsterdam and is made possible in part by Art Print Amsterdam.
