WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao youth baseball players won the championship in the Latin America Minor League on Saturday. In the final, the Dominican Republic was defeated 5-4. In the Minor League, 9 to 11-year-old children play.
In the Manantiales stadium in Mayagüez in Puerto Rico, the Curaçao players previously defeated Panama. The Panamanians were defeated 6-2 in the semifinals.
