WILLEMSTAD - This morning at 9 o'clock, the commemoration of the Remembrance of Death on Curaçao was held. All those who gathered at the war memorial in Waaigat observed a 2-minute silence in remembrance of all those victims of war. Speeches were held and several poems were also recited.
In his speech, Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath compared the wars of the last century with the current war against the coronavirus. Rhuggenaath stated that it is now everyone's responsibility to regain our freedom.
