WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao football association has not fulfilled its financial obligations towards ex-national coach Art Langeler. The trainer confirmed this in an interview on the Dutch Radio 1.
Langeler was appointed by the union on May 1, with a contract that runs until 2023. After 3 matches he was informed by email that he had been fired. A reason was not given, but presumably the Dutchman was too critical. He commented on the poor organization surrounding the selection's trips to matches abroad. Already at the start, the federation showed its worst side: on arrival at Hato, no one from the federation was present to welcome Langeler.
It now appears that things will also go wrong with the settlement of the short collaboration: the union has not fulfilled its financial obligations towards Langeler. He has no intention of leaving it at that.
