Curaçao goes against Canada and Honduras in CONCACAF Nations League

WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao team will play against Canada and Honduras in the group stage of the CONCACAF Nations League. The team was placed in group C of league A during the draw.

The Curaçaoans meet an old acquaintance during the group stage. Former national coach Remko Bicentini assists Canadian national coach John Herdman. Canada qualified for the World Cup in Qatar last week.

41 countries participate in the tournament. Mexico, Jamaica and Suriname play against each other in group A of the Liga. In group B, Costa Rica, Panama and Martinique meet and in group C the battle breaks out between America, El Salvador and Granada. The group stage also serves as a qualifying round for the Goldcup 2023.

 

The Nations League will start in June 2022 and the final will be played in June 2023. It will be the second edition of the regional tournament. America won the first tournament in the final against Mexico.
