WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao has lost over three quarters of its seat capacity in aviation due to the Corona crisis.
From more than 20,000 chairs just before the week that Curaçao was locked, to just over 4,600 chairs this week. Analysts expect that Curaçao will not return to its previous level until 2023.
A start to recovery is only necessary when travel restrictions to the Netherlands and the United States can be lifted. These countries provide the largest share of tourists for Curaçao.
