WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Maritime Authority (MAC) has recently added two prominent cruise ships, Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam, to the Curaçao Ship Registry. This registration marks an important milestone for Curaçao's maritime sector and reflects the confidence in the island as a maritime hub in the region.

Both ships are part of the prestigious Holland America Line fleet and are internationally renowned for their quality, safety, and luxurious service. This registration increases the number of vessels operating internationally under the Curaçao fleet.
According to the Director of the Maritime Authority, Mr. Sierhuis, this achievement is the result of intensive collaboration and the constant maintenance of high standards in the Curaçao Ship Registry. "We are proud that a world-class maritime company has chosen to register their ships under the Curaçao Ship Registry. This strengthens our position as a reliable maritime partner in international navigation," stated the Director.
Minister Charles Cooper of Traffic, Transportation, and Urban Planning also praised the development: "The registration of Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam demonstrates that Curaçao is participating at the highest level in the international maritime sector. This not only brings economic benefits but also contributes to our strategic position in the Caribbean region."
The Curaçao Maritime Authority will continue to work on creating a modern, secure, and attractive registry and invites other international companies to add their vessels to the Curaçao fleet.
