WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao is number one on the list of islands where American digital nomads can best stay. This is according to research by the software company Zenefits.
Zenefits specializes in human resources software and has made a list of fifty tropical islands that currently host digital nomads. Digital nomads work online and can set up their 'office' in any environment. Zenefits considered seven factors when ranking the islands, including internet speed, lodging costs, and after-work activities.
Since 2021 it has been possible for digital nomads to live and work in Curaçao. According to Zenefits, Curaçao is the most economical to stay and the internet speed is above average. The climate and nature, including Shete Boka National Park, are also mentioned as reasons why Curaçao is number one.
At number two is the Thai island of Koh Phangan and at three the Brazilian Fernando de Noronha.
