WILLEMSTAD – Gilbert Martina, president of the Federashon Futbol Kòrsou (FFK), has confirmed the base camp for Curaçao’s national football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to Martina, the Curaçao national football team, also known as Blue Wave, will be based in Boca Raton, in the United States, during the tournament. The team will stay and prepare there throughout the World Cup period.
The base camp will serve as the central location for accommodation and training, providing the squad with a stable environment for recovery and tactical preparation. From Boca Raton, Curaçao will travel to play its World Cup matches in Houston, Kansas City, and Philadelphia.
Martina said the selection of Boca Raton was made with logistics, facilities, and travel efficiency in mind, ensuring optimal conditions for the team during the world’s largest football tournament. The announcement marks another concrete step in Curaçao’s preparations for its participation in the 2026 World Cup.
